Dodgers Fan Upset Over Loss of Paper Tickets

The transition to mobile tickets is gradually phasing out older technologies, much like how landline phones and dial-up internet have become less common. A lifelong fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Errol Segal, expressed his disappointment as the team informed him that he wouldn’t be able to print tickets for the upcoming season.

At 81 years old, Segal relies on a flip phone and admits he isn’t comfortable using a computer. He mentioned that if he had been a season ticket holder for just a few years, it might not have stung as much. But having held his season ticket for 50 years, he feels understandably neglected. “They threw me under the bus,” he told local media.

Segal shared that while the team offered to buy back his tickets, he wasn’t interested in that option. Instead, he hopes the Dodgers will reconsider their policy on paper tickets. Meanwhile, the team has created a FAQ section on their website, explaining how fans can access tickets through the MLB Ballpark app. Interestingly, one common query is whether fans can print tickets at home.

The Dodgers have firmly stated, however, that printed-at-home tickets will no longer be accepted at Dodger Stadium, citing improved security and a desire to minimize ticket fraud.
