This dog is full of surprises!
The adorable and strong dog, who was trapped inside a shipping container in Texas for more than a week before being rescued by U.S. Coast Guard personnel, is pregnant, the animal rescue group announced this week.
The container dog, called Connie, was found on January 31st and taken to a veterinarian in Pasadena, Texas, before finally being taken to Forever Changed Animal Rescue (FCAR) in Maryland. It passed into my hands. I was expecting it.

Connie was rescued by US Coast Guard Officer Ryan McMahon and his team after hearing howling sounds coming from the shipping container.
The container was lowered by the men using a crane, and Connie was taken outside. Connie is believed to have spent eight days inside without food or water.
“As soon as I opened it, I saw a little dog’s face pop out. She was right there, it was like she knew we were going to be there to open the door. ,” Petty Officer 2nd Class McMahon told The Associated Press.

Connie also tested positive for heartworms and will undergo treatment after her pregnancy is over.
The Coast Guard is not sure how the dog ended up in the container containing the junked car, but they believe it may have been at a junkyard and accidentally entered the container.
McMahon said she was grateful to hear the dog barking before it was loaded onto the cargo ship.
After her pregnancy, Connie hopes to find a forever home in the Washington, D.C., area.
