Aaron Leitz Announces Resignation from DOJ, Eyes New Role in Texas

Aaron Leitz, the former Attorney General of the Department of Justice’s Legal Policy Bureau, recently made a significant announcement. “We made a massive presentation at The Interview,” he stated. This came just a day before he decided to resign from his position at the DOJ.

On Wednesday afternoon, Leitz shared his resignation letter addressed to President Donald Trump and Attorney General Pam Bondi on social media.

He mentioned, “The obligation now calls on me to continue that fight on a new front.”

Leitz expressed his dedication to upholding law, order, justice, and the Constitution, stating that his efforts would continue in Texas. He also took a moment to thank @potus and @agpambondi for their leadership and for the opportunity to serve the country.

In his letter, he alluded to a new challenge awaiting him in Texas, although specifics were not disclosed.

He conveyed to Trump that serving as an aide had been one of the greatest honors of his life.

In a Thursday morning interview with Glenn Beck, Leitz revealed more about his future plans, declaring his candidacy for Texas Attorney General.

“I’m proud to share this news with Texans on your show for the first time,” he said. With Attorney General Ken Paxton running for a Senate seat, Leitz expressed his intention to carry forward the fight for Texans, aiming to address issues important to them.

Leitz pledged to collaborate with Trump to investigate and take legal action against actors he described as “Blue State Agitators,” which he noted include district attorneys and mayors funded by George Soros.

Before his role at DOJ, Leitz served as Chief of Staff for Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and played a key role in the legal strategy for Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.

While at the DOJ, he was known as the “attack coordinator” for Texas, spearheading multiple lawsuits against the Biden administration on various fronts, including immigration and election integrity.
