Report on Soros’s Open Society Raises Concerns
The Capital Research Center, a nonprofit organization focused on analyzing the influence of money in politics and philanthropy, recently released a troubling 95-page report regarding George Soros’s Open Society Foundation.
Authored by Ryan Mauro, an expert in counterterrorism, and first reported by Flame Media, the analysis reveals that the Open Society Foundation has allegedly funded numerous US-based groups that the FBI has classified as engaging in domestic terrorism. Additionally, the report claims ties to international organizations designated as foreign terrorist entities.
“This really showcases a significant clash,” Mauro remarked, suggesting a monumental struggle between figures like Trump and Soros.
Mauro shared his findings on “The Charlie Kirk Show,” precisely one week after an unfortunate shooting incident involving the Trump administration. It was apparent that the administration was aware of these developments.
Following a grave attack at the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Center in Dallas, Texas, it seemed the repercussions of the Soros Grant Foundation were inevitable.
U.S. Assistant Attorney General Todd Blanche’s office provided directions to law firms in various cities including California, Maryland, New York, Chicago, Detroit, and Washington, D.C., urging federal prosecutors to consider investigating Soros’s organizations. Reports indicate that The New York Times has caught wind of these directives.
The Times obtained a copy of this directive, reportedly seen by Associate Attorney General Aakash Singh.
As detailed in the Capital Research Center report, the Open Society Foundation allocated:
- Approximately $23,275,000 to seven organizations purportedly “directly supporting domestic terrorism and crime within the U.S.”
- Roughly $50.57 million to 41 entities understood to have sanctioned terrorist actions or are allegedly linked to international terrorist groups.
- Close to $10 million to five nonprofits identified as recognized terrorist organizations or affiliates.
Among the organizations flagged by the report that supposedly support domestic terrorism, Blaze News mentioned:
The Open Society Foundation, led by Alexander Soros, has categorically stated, “We condemn terrorism and do not fund it. Our initiatives are peaceful and within legal bounds; our grantees must adhere to human rights standards and abide by the law.”
The organization further described the accusations as politically charged efforts to silence dissenting voices and undermine free speech.
As Mauro described it, “This is a historic battle, featuring Trump on one side and Soros on the other.” He added a list of potential strategies the Trump administration could implement to effectively tackle this situation.
While Mauro expresses concern over a possible uptick in leftist violence, he maintains hope that the Trump administration can achieve a favorable outcome, provided they don’t back down in the face of criticism.
Mauro criticized the Open Society’s response to the DOJ’s actions, stating, “They avoid addressing any of the serious allegations.” In a statement, DOJ spokesman Chad Gilmartin emphasized the commitment to public safety and the importance of investigating entities that conspire to commit acts of violence.
The administration has also noted that President Donald Trump previously classified ANTIFA as a terrorist organization. Stephen Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff at the White House, stated, “We will leverage all resources within the Department of Justice and Homeland Security to dismantle these networks and ensure the safety of the American people.”
