Former CNN host Don Lemon went on an unbridled, expletive-filled rant mocking Trump supporters over political rifts over immigration policy.
President-elect Donald Trump's announcement comes after entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy released a statement defending highly skilled immigrants and denouncing what he sees as the low level of education among Americans. Lemon could barely contain his laughter as he described the infighting among his supporters.
“You’re being co-opted because you’re in a fucking cult, and your stupid MAGA brain doesn’t even realize it.”
“There's a fight going on in MAGA land! I mean, what's going on? And the question is, are they fighting over white people's jobs? I think that's what it is. If I'm wrong, I'll correct you!'' Lemon said. “This is a MAGA civil war!”
Lemon says Ramaswami and Elon Musk need highly skilled immigrants using the H-1B visa system to run their tech companies, but “immigrant chauvinists OG MAGA” are all Opposed to policies based on hostility towards immigrants.
“Oh, I love this! Now you realize, you stupid idiot! Now you just realize this crap! You're so stupid and you deserve it you idiot So of course!'' Lemon laughed.
“So come with me here. Yes, I am gloating at your stupidity and how you were taken and deceived!” he continued. “You’re co-opted because you’re in a fucking cult and you don’t even realize it because you have a stupid MAGA brain and you don’t understand it! How stupid are you? Are you stupid?”
He went on to describe the war between “Ramaswamy, Musk, and the DOGE guys on one side” and “Laura Loomer, Matt Gaetz, and the old guard, MAGA, on the other side.”
Mr. Lemon also mocked Mr. Trump's supporters, whom he referred to as “Silicon Valley tech billionaires,” which resulted in a knee-jerk reaction from supporters.
“There's a lot of stuff in this, I love it!” Lemon laughed. “You guys were messing around and got found out. You guys got found out!”

President Trump expressed opposition to the H-1B visa program in 2016.
“The H-1B program is not high-skilled or immigrant. They are temporary foreign workers imported from abroad for the express purpose of replacing American workers at low wages,” he said at the time. said. “I will permanently end the use of H-1B as a cheap labor program and make it an absolute requirement that all visa and immigration programs hire American workers first, with no exceptions.”
CNN fired Don Lemon in April 2023, after which he tried to develop a series on the Musk-owned social media platform X. That deal fell apart, and he recently abandoned Company X in favor of leftist social media platform BlueSky.
