The former president has until Monday to secure bail to cover the $500 million judgment against him while he appeals the verdict. According to court filings, Trump will be required to post collateral covering 120% of the judgment, totaling more than $557 million. His lawyer said last week that it would be “practically impossible” for him to secure a bond of this size.
