Donald Trump has been officially elected as the 47th presidentth President of the United States.

Mr. Trump was elected to the Oval Office with an overwhelming victory.
As of 11:50 p.m. PT, Trump had won 277 electoral votes, exceeding the 270 needed to win the White House. In addition to winning the most electoral votes, he also won the popular vote. Not since George W. Bush in 2004 has a Republican won the popular vote.
Additionally, Trump will become the second president in history to serve two non-consecutive terms. The last president was former Democratic President Grover Cleveland in 1892.
