Connor Kennedy, the eldest son of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is set to wed Brazilian pop star Julia BE next summer, and the guest list is shaping up to be an eclectic mix of political figures and former rivals, including Donald Trump and Brazilian leader Lula da Silva.

At 31 years old, Connor—who gained some fame for dating Taylor Swift—plans to tie the knot with 26-year-old Julia in June in the United States.

The announcement will reportedly be made this week, as the couple recently revealed that they postponed their wedding from its original date in São Paulo, which was meant to happen in November, to coincide with the release of Julia’s new album.

Julia, nominated for a Latin Grammy, noted, “Connor’s father has a guest list, and so do we.” She added, “If Trump is invited, Lula will be too.”

According to Brazilian news sources, the guest list is expected to stir some controversy given recent political tensions. This comes after the Supreme Court in Brazil delivered a significant ruling against former president Jair Bolsonaro, who was sentenced to over 27 years in prison for his role in a coup attempt. Trump has expressed dissatisfaction with the situation.

Connor has personal connections to the family drama as well; his mother, Mary Richardson Kennedy, passed away in 2012, the year he briefly dated Swift after turning 18. Reports suggest their summer romance ended with Swift selling a house she bought in Hyannis Port where they spent time together.

Connor and Julia, who are currently residing in Los Angeles, shared their engagement news last year through various social media posts, with Julia gushing, “The easiest ‘yes’ ever,” while showing off her engagement ring.

Interestingly, Julia’s family has political ties as well. Her father, Paulo Mariño, 73, a former senator from Rio de Janeiro, switched his allegiance in the 2022 elections from Bolsonaro to Lula. He has a history mingling with high-profile celebrities from the past, like Mick Jagger and Jackie Kennedy.

There remains some uncertainty about whether members of Connor’s extended family, including his sister Kelly Kennedy and former Congressman Joe Kennedy III, will attend the upcoming wedding. Joe recently criticized RFK Jr., stating he poses a risk to public health, highlighting ongoing family tensions.
