Donald Trump Names Steven Cheung, Sergio Gor to Key White House Roles

President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that two trusted advisers will be joining his administration: Stephen Chan and Sergio Go.

Chan, who served as communications director for Trump's 2024 campaign, will join the Trump administration as White House chief of staff and communications director. Chan served as director of strategic affairs in the White House during the first Trump administration.

Mr. Gol will also serve as Assistant to the President and Director of the Office of Presidential Personnel Affairs. Goh was the CEO of Winning Team Publishing, which published hit books such as: letter to trump and save america Over the last few years. Gol also ran for Right for America, a pro-Trump super PAC.

“Steven Chan and Sergio Go have been trusted advisors since my first presidential election in 2016, and have worked tirelessly to guide me through my first term and to my historic victory in 2024,” President Trump said in a statement. “We have always defended America First principles.”

“I'm thrilled to welcome them to my White House, just as we 'Make America Great Again!' ” he added.

Mr Chan and Mr Goh are the latest Cabinet appointments that are rapidly taking shape just 10 days after Mr Trump's historic election victory.

On Thursday, President Trump announced his selection of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and his nomination of Gov. Doug Burgum (R-N.D.) to be the next Secretary of the Interior Department.

These came after President Trump appointed former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Florida) and veteran Fox News host Pete Hegseth to be attorney general and defense secretary, respectively, earlier in the week, leading to the collapse of the Capitol. It was announced later.

Gates' nomination on Wednesday in particular excited the establishment in Washington, D.C. CNN reported that after the announcement, reporters were “hugging each other in the hallway and crying.”

“Shut up,” Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) told reporters shortly after Tuesday's nomination.

“Do you think he'll be confirmed by the Senate?” a reporter asked, to which Massey appeared to reply, “I'm taking a break from my schedule.”

“He's the attorney general,” Massey added. “Please suck it!”
