Several people who were described as Vice President Kamala Harris’ “supporters” were seen leaving the venue shortly after she took the stage at a rally in Atlanta on Tuesday, after video and reports from the rally suggested they had simply been there for a rap concert before the event.
Ahead of Harris’ Atlanta rally, popular rapper Megan Thee Stallion performed a bold rendition of one of her hits: “I’m a savage, yeah/ Classy, boogie, ratchet, yeah/ Sassy, moody, nasty, yeah/ Acting stupid, what’s up?” she rapped.
The arena in Atlanta was nearly full during the rapper’s performance, and Harris’ campaign claimed the rally was a huge success. Several Harris campaign replies showed video of the crowd cheering Megan Thee Stallion as she left the arena and touted the “sold out crowd” that had reportedly turned out for Harris.
Donald Trump responded to this on Truth Social:
Trump said of Kamala, “They needed a concert to fill the arena in Atlanta, but five minutes after she started speaking the crowd started leaving. I don’t need concerts or entertainers. I just want to Make America Great Again!!!”
