Donald Trump says he’s made up his mind on VP but hasn’t told them. Here’s who it could be

He made a big decision.

Former President Donald Trump he told reporters on Saturday. He is secretly deciding who will be his vice president but is not telling them.

“In my opinion, yes,” Trump told reporters at a Philadelphia cheesesteak restaurant when asked about the decision.

“No, nobody knows,” he said, adding when asked if he had informed the person.

Trump, 78, further hinted, without naming her, that her future vice presidential nominee will attend Thursday’s debate with President Biden in Atlanta.

According to a copy of the invitation reviewed by The Washington Post, special guests at the debate viewing party include former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson, Gov. Doug Burgum (R-SC), Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), Rep. Byron Donald (R-FL) and Rep. Wesley Hunter (R-TX).

The party is being hosted by former Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) and her billionaire husband, Jeff Sprecher, and will be backed by Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Whatley and Co-Chair Lara Trump.

Other supporters, including Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina, also plan to attend, according to sources.

The Trump campaign has stepped up its vetting of vice presidential nominees in recent weeks.

So far, Burgum and Vance are considered the top two finalists in the contest, with Rubio still in the running. NBC reportedHe cited conversations with more than a dozen officials.

The 45th president had previously hinted that an announcement would be made at the Republican National Convention, which runs from July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

However, there is always the possibility that an announcement could come sooner.

The presumed Republican front-runner is scheduled to be sentenced on July 11 after being found guilty of 34 counts of hush money, just days before the party convention.

Ahead of the debate, the former president held policy meetings with aides in preparation for the argument.

Meanwhile, Biden has been holed up at Camp David with various allies preparing for the debate.
