Donald Trump’s Anti-Kamala Harris Ad Blitz Kicks Off: ‘Dangerously Liberal’

A series of advertising blitzes against Vice President Kamala Harris began on Tuesday, part of a $12 million effort to portray the woman elected largely by the left (even though no one voted for her) as “dangerously liberal.”

The multimillion-dollar effort began with an ad titled “I Don’t Understand,” which highlighted Harris’ failure to address the border, despite the media’s attempts to hide that fact. In fact, as detailed by Breitbart News, members of the mainstream media have referred to Harris as a “border czar” at least eight times since March 2021, when President Joe Biden tasked her with “leading efforts with Mexico, the Northern Triangle, and the countries that need our help to stem the flow of so many people and stem migration to our southern border.” This was reported by media representatives from CNN, MSNBC, CBS News, and ABC News.

“…”[S]”He has let us down. Under Harris’s administration, we have over 10 million illegal immigrants in the country. 250,000 Americans dead from fentanyl. Brutal immigration crime. And ISIS is here now,” the narrator says, before cutting to footage of Harris’ resurfaced interview with Lester Holt, who told Harris at the time, “You’ve never been to the border.”

“And I’ve never been to Europe, so I don’t understand what you’re talking about,” Harris replied, laughing.

“Kamala Harris. Failed. Weak. Dangerously Liberal,” the ad ends.

The new attack After a week of struggling to figure out the best message to attack Trump’s new rival, campaign ad-makers are sticking to tried-and-true formulas. Noticeably absent are suggestions that she’s a “DEI hire,” claims that she covered up Biden’s mental health, footage of her laughing, references to Venn diagrams, or any of the other attacks that have gone viral among MAGA acolytes but have had little impact among a broader audience.

Meanwhile, the Harris campaign is expected to announce what Politico Playbook described as “a major media buy later this morning, following a $50 million pledge from super PAC Future Forward last week.” This comes on the heels of Harris raising $1.5 million at a fundraiser that also featured Yo-Yo Ma, James Taylor, and, of course, Harris herself. That’s significantly less than the $2 million Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), former President Donald Trump’s running mate, raised at a lunchtime fundraiser.

And the Trump campaign has stuck to its guns, reminding voters that its criticism of Harris has nothing to do with her gender or race, but rather her left-leaning positions.

“It’s all about competence, and Kamala Harris has proven herself to be just as incompetent as Joe Biden,” Carolyn Leavitt, a national spokeswoman for the Trump campaign, said during a recent TV appearance. Breitbart News Saturday.

“A wide-open southern border, a weak foreign policy that led to a war in Ukraine and empowered Iranian-backed terrorists in the Middle East to attack Israel,” she said, noting that Harris also “supported every single one of Joe Biden’s terrible economic policies that have created the worst inflation crisis in a generation.”

“We are going to make sure every voter knows where Kamala Harris stands on these issues. She is more to the left of Bernie Sanders. She is dangerously liberal. We cannot trust her with leadership in the Oval Office. Our goal in the 101 days between now and Election Day is to make sure every voter knows what a radical liberal Kamala Harris is,” she added.
