Multiple reports on Friday said former President Donald Trump has completed a leadership push for the Republican National Committee (RNC), with party officials appointing hand-picked candidates to senior positions, including his daughter-in-law Lara Trump. He explained in detail.
AP report North Carolina Republican Michael Whatley, who has supported President Trump’s declarations of voter fraud, will be elected as the party’s new national chairman in a vote Friday morning in Houston.
Lara Trump will be co-chair. She is following the precedent set by Maureen Reagan, daughter of President Ronald Reagan, the last member of the presidential family to co-chair the RNC in the 1980s.
As Breitbart News reported, Whatley will assume the top title, replacing longtime chairwoman Ronna McDaniel, who announced her resignation last week.

But he will likely be surrounded by people close to Trump. The Associated Press report continues:
Lara Trump is expected to focus primarily on fundraising and media appearances. She was replaced by Chris LaCivita as the RNC’s chief of staff, and while she retained her role as one of the Trump campaign’s two top advisers, she assumed the role of chief of staff for the committee. I will be in charge.
With President Trump’s blessing, Lacivita promises to implement fundamental reforms and staffing changes at all levels of the RNC, ensuring the RNC operates seamlessly as an extension of the Trump campaign.
New executive positions are expected to be finalized within hours of initial speculation as the party sets its direction for November.
talk to Reuters “These moves make a lot of sense,” said Josh McCoon, ahead of the appointments of Mr. Whatley and Mr. Trump, the Georgia Republican Party chairman and RNC member.
“As we enter a presidential year, we need every source of funding available to challenge the sitting president,” he added, dismissing concerns about conflicts of interest and pointing to Lara Trump’s demonstrated fundraising and communication skills.
