President-elect Donald Trump's landslide victory is reportedly causing infighting and division within House Democrats.
Democrats seem confused as to why Trump won reelection in a landslide, shifting 48 states to the right in the process.
Attention — KJP abruptly leaves the press conference after WH said that “democracy will collapse” if President Trump is elected:
Far leftists say the party hasn't moved far enough to the left, while establishment Democrats say pushing far-left policies has failed to attract voters.
1 far-left House Democratic member said The idea that leaders within the system “must take some real responsibility.” “We just act like we're having a pep rally and say, 'Good job everyone.'” …I think that's bullshit. Admit that you failed. ”
“Democrats are terrible at accountability,” one House Democrat told Axios. “If we're in a think tank kind of world and all that matters is having great ideas, then yes, you might call that a success.”
“I think identity politics is killing us completely,” said another establishment House Democrat. “No matter what you say about Kamala Harris and her career, you can't try to claim that she was a moderate for Joe Biden. That's not accurate.”

Differences within the Democratic caucus are likely to impact the 2026 midterm elections. “People are going to go to Ring's corner and say, 'We're the winning corner,'” Rep. Emanuel Cleaver (D-Missouri) told Axios about the party's future.
Amid the turmoil, Democratic leaders are trying to influence the direction of their party. One of the takeaways from the election for some on the radical left is to denounce Hispanic and black voters as misogynists. This theory was promoted by MSNBC co-host Joe Scarborough and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
The second theory suggests that the loss has nothing to do with Trump, but rather with Democrats being victims of inflation. This theory has been promoted by the White House, former President Barack Obama, and his former staff.
