(news nation) — As NewsNation's Chris Cuomo braves the rain and winds of Hurricane Milton in Tampa, Florida, Bill O'Reilly accused two presidential campaigns of trying to use the hurricane against their opponents.
“Don't expect anyone to tell you the truth,” O'Reilly said Wednesday night. “Cuomo” “This is pathetic…people who seek power — on both sides — He will do anything to win. ”
“Certainly the Republicans and Donald Trump are trying to exploit the storm for political gain, but so is Kamala Harris,” he told host Crist Cuomo.
O'Reilly also called Vice President Harris “totally irresponsible” for refusing to take a call from Gov. Ron DeSantis to discuss hurricane preparedness earlier this week, but President Biden spoke with and praised DeSantis. He told reporters, somewhat contradicting himself. The governor praised Milton for his efforts in preparation.
“How embarrassing is that?” O'Reilly said.
Cuomo was quick to say both things could be true. The governor's office did not respond to Harris' call, but the governor himself responded to the president's call.
“There is political damage,” the host said. “He remembers what happened when (New Jersey) Gov. Chris Christie hugged President Obama. He (DeSantis) doesn't want that 'shame' to befall him.”

The former governor defended his attitude toward the president, saying, “The fact is, he's the president of the United States and he wants to come here and meet the people of New Jersey.”
“I am the governor and I am here to welcome him,” he added at the time.
