Fox News host Harris Faulkner bluntly told Brad Howard, founder of lobbying firm Corcoran Street Group, on her “Faulkner Focus” show on Tuesday that the Democratic Party “has a problem with anti-Semitism.”
Faulkner was referring to allegations that Vice President Kamala Harris dropped Democratic Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro as her running mate because Democrats were reluctant to support him because of his Jewish faith. Harris instead chose Democratic Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, despite Pennsylvania being a key state in the general election.
Howard maintained that Shapiro remains on the Democratic Party’s shortlist and denied accusations that Harris is anti-Semitic because her husband, Second Lt. Governor Doug Emhoff, is Jewish.
“He doesn’t have a warrant for his arrest. Get out of here,” Faulkner told Howard. “Don’t mess with me.”
Faulkner suggested that Shapiro was not chosen as the vice presidential nominee because of the Democratic Party’s “problem with anti-Semitism.”

“Your party has a problem with anti-Semitism,” she told Howard.[Democratic Minnesota Rep.] Ilhan Omar… I mean, [Democratic Michigan Rep.] Rashida Tlaib: Yes, that’s a problem for you. According to sources within the Democratic Party, some of you [Democratic Missouri Rep.] Corey Bush and others were unable to run, all were opposed [Democratic New York Rep.] Jamal Bowman. Because it would be too politically costly.”
“And then they lost the primary and were kicked out of the party,” Howard said.
Reps. Omar and Tlaib have been staunch opponents of Israel since Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7. The two congresswomen, along with New York Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman, voted against a resolution that supported Israel and condemned Hamas’ terrorist attacks. Pete Hegseth, the weekend co-host of “Fox & Friends,” said it was significant that Harris chose not to pick Shapiro, given Pennsylvania’s importance in the general election. Winner The governor backed Harris in the 2022 gubernatorial race with 60% of the vote against Republican candidate Doug Mastriano, suggesting he could provide Harris with political support in Pennsylvania.
“What went wrong? What went wrong? [Harris and Shapiro] “Is it not working? Probably not,” Hegseth said. “Kamala is very ambitious, he’s very ambitious, so maybe that’s the problem. Or maybe what Ms. Harris is saying is that the party has shifted course and they can’t accept someone with his background given the extremism that’s brewing beneath her base.”
Democratic voters were hesitant to support Shapiro as a running mate because of the party’s internal divide over Israel’s war with Hamas, and some in the party have criticized him for making statements that are pro-Israel.
“He has the rhythm of Obama and the individual style of Bill Clinton. [the only] “We want to send a message to everyone in the room that this is happening,” Arab Institute founder Jim Zogby said on July 31. according to “But I think he overstepped the mark and shot himself in the foot with some unnecessary comments,” he told NBC News.
At the time, many young Democrats threatened to withhold their vote for President Joe Biden, who was seeking reelection, because of his unwavering support for Israel.
