Doocy Directly Asks Trump If He Wants John Brennan and James Comey in Prison

Trump’s Remarks on Comey and Brennan

During a multi-nation lunch on Wednesday, Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doucy posed a question to President Donald Trump regarding former FBI director James Comey and former CIA director John Brennan. The FBI has initiated a criminal inquiry into both men related to potential fraud tied to the investigation into the now-defunct Steele dossier. This dossier alleged that Trump’s 2016 campaign conspired with Russia to influence the election in his favor.

Trump responded to Doucy’s query about seeing Comey and Brennan face consequences, saying they might have to “pay the price” as they have “cheated” and “crossed lines.” He remarked, “Well, I know nothing other than what I read today. But, I think they’re cheating people; I believe they’re really corrupt. Maybe they should face repercussions for their actions.” He conveyed his belief that both men are deeply compromised.

Meanwhile, CIA director John Ratcliffe introduced FBI director Kash Patel to evidence concerning Brennan’s alleged misconduct. This was in light of recent declassified findings regarding the 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA), which pointed to “procedural anomalies” in how the assessment was edited.

Brennan is also accused of having made a false statement to Congress in 2023, claiming he had not approved the inclusion of the House Judiciary Committee in the ICA discussions, while newly declassified records suggest he actually advocated for that inclusion.

Moreover, an investigation into Comey is examining alleged wrongdoing on his part. In 2018, he told Congress that the FBI had not analyzed the controversial documents before using them to acquire a surveillance warrant on Trump’s former campaign advisor, Carter Page. Later, in 2020, he informed the Senate Judiciary Committee that he was not aware of issues pertaining to Igor Danchenko, the primary source for Christopher Steele’s documents, who was a former British spy.

Comey has consistently misrepresented facts to the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees, which were among the first to support the controversial documents in question.
