Police say two students fired pepper spray inside the Queens Middle School cafeteria.
Chaos exploded around 12:45pm on Friday, with two female students, ages 12 and 13, discharged from harmful substances at College Point Joint Middle School, 14th Avenue, College Point, officers said.
Twenty students and four staff members from the public school were treated for eye irritation and respiratory dysfunction.
The injured staff received additional treatment at New York Presbyterian Queens Hospital, in addition to the 11 children, police said.
The two students who fired pepper spray were taken to police custody and later released by their parents.
Police say no charges will be filed.
