Drake Maye's wife reaches out to Patriots QB ahead of Super Bowl 2026

Drake May’s moment has finally arrived, and his supporters couldn’t be more thrilled.

As the 2026 Super Bowl approaches, Ann Michael May shared a touching note on her Instagram Story directed at her husband, a quarterback for the Patriots, who are set to face off against the Seahawks in Santa Clara on Sunday.

“Happy Super Bowl Sunday!!!!!!” Ann Michael wrote alongside a picture of them sharing a kiss. “Proud is an understatement. I love you @drake.maye.”

May, at 23, is gearing up for his first Super Bowl with the Patriots, having been drafted third overall less than two years ago.

This former UNC quarterback had a standout season, finishing with a 14-3 record, racking up 31 touchdowns and just eight interceptions. While his performance was impressive enough to place him in MVP discussions, he ultimately lost out to Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the voting.

In an incredible turnaround, May and the Patriots transitioned from the league’s bottom to the top in just one year.

Mike Vrabel, last year’s AFC East’s worst team coach and recently named Coach of the Year, praised the dramatic turnaround that secured New England its first Division I title and Super Bowl appearance since 2019.

Vrabel, who used to play linebacker for the Patriots and won a Super Bowl himself, credited May’s leadership as essential in reaching this championship opportunity.

“He’s a competitor. He’s always eager to learn. He keeps evolving as a leader. His success and performance are crucial to our situation,” Vrabel commented this week.

As May prepares to take the field at Levi’s Stadium for his Super Bowl debut, Ann Michael will likely be cheering him on from the sidelines.

The couple, who were sweethearts growing up, tied the knot in June 2025.

In addition to her husband’s achievements, Ann Michael has quickly become a favorite in Foxboro, gaining social media attention this season through her popular “Bakemas” series on TikTok.

She has amassed more than 1 million followers across her TikTok and Instagram accounts.
