Dramatic video was released Thursday showing a driver speeding into a crowd on the campus of Portland State University in Oregon. At the time, anti-Israel protests were occurring on campus.
The video begins with a white Toyota Camry slowly approaching dozens of people blocking the road.
“Hey, get out of the car!” a man yelled as someone ran towards the sedan and tried to open the car door. The person was sprayed with an unknown substance from inside the car and fled.
A demonstrator wearing all black then smashed part of the car’s rear windshield.

The video shows the vehicle revving its engine and starting to move towards the crowd in front of it, screaming to disperse the crowd. Stop before you hit someone.
The video ends with the driver jumping out of the car and leaving the scene spraying the same substance on other people chasing him.
The Portland Police Bureau later said the driver was taken into custody and taken to a local hospital for a mental health evaluation, according to the Associated Press.

Also on Thursday, police were called to the university to restore order after anti-Israel agitators seized the campus library.
It was not immediately clear whether the protesters seen in the video were participating in an anti-Israel movement.

Seven officers were injured and at least 30 people were arrested Thursday at PSU, according to Portland police.
The ministry said the arrests were the second time the agitators had illegally entered Miller Library, despite efforts by authorities to ensure safety after first clearing the library at 9:30 a.m. local time on Thursday. It was announced that this was caused by the
The operation began at 6 a.m., with officers from all three Portland precincts establishing a perimeter around the library and beginning to tell the occupiers to leave.
Police said after “numerous announcements” were unsuccessful, officers moved into the building and began a “planned, methodical and safety-oriented clearing operation” from the top floor.

After the library was cleared on Thursday morning, the university tried to secure it with plywood and fencing, but police returned to campus after the agitators vandalized the library and re-entered the building.
Additional arrests were made by Portland Police and PSU Campus Safety.
