Draymond Green didn't get too lame when looking at the new format for the NBA All-Star Game.
The Warriors star torn the structure during the TNT broadcast between the first and second games, calling it “unfair” to anyone who worked to win the right to be called an All-Star.
In the new format, the All-Star Game is a mini tournament consisting of four teams of eight players who compete in the semi-finals before the winner advances to the championship game.
To move forward, the first team to reach 40 points won, but it wasn't right with the green.
“You can work to be an All-Star all year round and play until you're up to 40. This is very unfair to Victor Wenbagnama, who just took this game really seriously,” Green aired. I did. “Shy Gilgas Alexander just took this game seriously. When talking about chasing after the points record, Melo, Kobe and everyone who had a great scoring night. They're doing it in this game. I don't get the opportunity to do it.
“We can see all the rising stars. We're going to see the Olympic team. Now we're getting a treat to watch the Olympic teams against the U-19 teams. Come on. , what are we doing? This is ridiculous.”
He later added: “This sucks, it's not basketball.”
Green also expressed his discomfort in the middle of the night when he appeared on a pre-match show where teams were discussed from the Rising Stars Challenge.
The three teams in the All-Star Game are made up of Star NBA players, while the fourth team is made up of first and second year players who won the Rising Stars Challenge early in the All-Star Weekend.
green See Team Candiceit is officially called and is called “the team that no one wants to see” before opposing their inclusion.
“These guys didn't make an All-Star team,” Green said. “It's ridiculous to play in the All-Star Game when you don't create an All-Star team.”
The change in the All-Star Game format was a push by the NBA as the league attempts to reinvigorate enthusiasm about the event.
