A road rage driver got swift payback when he got out of his car to confront another motorist only to realise he’d forgotten to apply the handbrake, sending his car rolling off the road.
Video of the incident posted to Reddit shows a woman wearing a white tank top and a Miami Marlins cap yelling at other drivers who are filming the incident.
When the male driver asked, “What are you angry about?” the woman opened the car door, claimed to have an “82-year-old man” as a passenger, and scolded him for “spinning and swerving” on the road.
“Just because it’s the 4th of July doesn’t mean you can do shit like that!” the woman said, visibly stumbling over her words.
The man firmly stated, “You’re really drunk,” and then yelled, “Damn you!”
He claimed, “You changed lanes, I was just following you.”
She opened the door and got out of the car, ready to dispute his claim, but before she could stand up straight, the sedan had comically sped away without her noticing.
“Um, well…” the male driver stammered in disbelief as he noticed her car slowly disappear from view.
“I was the one who swerved!” the woman spat out, before realising her careless mistake and frantically running after the car, trying to slam on the brakes along the way.
Her car rolled several feet before colliding with an SUV and the driver’s side door slammed back, nearly trapping her leg.
“There she was… and… OK,” the driver stuttered, trying to describe the bizarre encounter in real time.
The video then cuts to show the woman explaining the situation to the driver of the SUV that struck her.
The video ends with all three vehicles continuing on their way, with the angry woman’s sedan pulling out in front of the driver who was filming the incident, revealing a sizable dent in the driver’s side door.
The identities of either driver were not immediately available, and it was not clear where the accident occurred.
The SUV that struck the woman’s car appeared to have Florida license plates, and palm trees could be seen in the background of the video.
