EA Sports ‘College Football 25’ fans rejoice in game’s return

With 134 universities to choose from, the college-level game has always competed with the hugely popular pro football “John Madden Football” and “Madden NFL” series, which only offer 32 cookie-cutter teams.

“You can’t really compare the two. College Football blows Madden away,” Anthony Pantino, 24, an avid player from Bethpage, New York, told the Post.

Like Kosh, he was hanging on to his antiquated Xbox 360 to play old versions of his long-time favorite games.

The game also allows players to “build a college football dynasty from the ground up as a coach,” an intricate aspect that has fascinated Pantino since he first “fell in love” with the game in 2007.

“My goal is to surpass Nick Saban,” he said, proud of the legendary University of Alabama coach who retired earlier this year.

Pantino acknowledged that an entire weekend could be dedicated to building a virtual football program for the long-awaited return of the cutting-edge game.

“You don’t get that depth in Madden,” he said, adding that “College Football” gives players a “true sense of accomplishment.”

For other aficionados like Kosh, the game is no child’s play either. Over the course of weeks, he compiled a multi-page document of tactics and tweaks that would make the game more realistically difficult.

“This is the real deal. We’ve waited over 10 years to get back to this and I’m not going to waste a second,” he said.

“Everyone will be glued to their TVs on Friday. If you thought Barbie had a great summer, wait for this!”
