Eagles’ Jalen Hurts and Chiefs’ Chris Jones Exchange Words Post-Game
During the recent game on Sunday night, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and Kansas City Chiefs defensive lineman Chris Jones had some heated exchanges. It all unfolded as the game drew to a close.
As Jones taunted Hurts, the Eagles’ quarterback was preparing to kneel and run out the clock. Jones remarked, “You didn’t even have 100 yards,” seemingly taking a dig at the Eagles’ offensive line.
Hurts shot back, “We won the F– ING game. We will close your a-.” It’s worth noting the explicit language used in the heat of the moment.
In Super Bowl LIX’s rematch, the Eagles triumphed over the Chiefs, with a final score of 20-17. Though the Eagles’ offense wasn’t particularly flashy, it proved sufficient for the win.
In this game, Hurts threw for 101 yards on 15 completions out of 22 attempts. He also rushed for a touchdown, while teammate Barkley managed nearly 100 rushing yards. Hurts reflected post-game, saying, “The most important thing is finding a way to win. We showed up when we needed it the most. There’s a level of patience you have to have. Play inside yourself.”
On the other hand, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes completed 29 of 46 passes for 187 yards, tossing one touchdown and one interception. He also led the team in rushing with 66 yards on seven carries.
