Eagles star Haason Reddick granted permission to seek trade

Haason Reddick appears ready to fly out of Philadelphia.

Redick, an All-Pro edge rusher who led the Eagles in sacks in each of the past two seasons, was given permission by the team to seek a trade. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday..

The 29-year-old linebacker totaled 27 sacks in two Pro Bowl seasons with the Eagles, including 11 in 2023, 23 quarterback hits en route to Super Bowl LII, He had 13 tackles for loss and a sack.

His 16 sacks last year were tied for second in the league with Myles Garrett, and Reddick finished fourth in NFL Defensive Player of the Year voting.

The Eagles had a disappointing season after starting 10-1 in their Super Bowl appearance last year, but lost to the Buccaneers 32-9 in the wild card.

Redick, who also played for the Cardinals and Panthers, has reached double digits in sacks in each of the past four seasons.
