Economy is Set to 'Soar Like a Rocket' in 2026

Economic Predictions from Jason Miller

Jason Miller, a senior adviser to former President Trump, recently stated on a show that he anticipates a significant economic surge in the first half of 2026. He mentioned that some predictions, including those from Breitbart News Saturday, suggest the economy will “take off like a rocket ship” during that year.

Miller highlighted that this major legislation represents one of Trump’s key achievements, although he mentioned that many associated benefits may not be visible until the start of the new year.

“If you observe the first and second quarters of 2026, our economy is poised for a big leap. That’s not just my opinion; it’s shared by others as well,” he stated, referencing Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, economic advisers, and various private sector individuals.

He continued, expressing optimism that as 2026 kicks off, there will be an increase in job opportunities, leading to higher salaries and greater purchasing power for individuals in their everyday lives.

During the discussion, host Matthew Boyle pointed out the efforts of the Trump administration to restore order after what he deemed a chaotic period under Biden, to which Miller concurred. He recalled that during Trump’s first term, tax cuts were finalized in late December, whereas this time, they were completed at a much quicker pace—by Independence Day.

Miller elaborated that certain benefits have already begun to roll out, including overtime pay, Social Security changes, and a complete tax exemption on tips. He also mentioned future initiatives that are set to commence early this year, claiming people would soon perceive a noticeable change in their paychecks.

“They’re going to notice this shift, and then I believe we’ll see an uptick in hiring. More hiring naturally leads to more job openings. And with more jobs available, salaries are bound to rise due to competition for the best talent,” Miller added.
