Falco supported New York’s sanctuary state status and donated $60 to the Democratic Socialists of America, according to campaign records.

Monday’s fundraiser, held at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, was tied to a documentary and debate about abortion rights, with pro-abortion Jones apparently a major issue in the campaign against pro-abortion Lawler. I’m thinking of making it.

Lawler criticized Falco’s fundraising efforts, saying they were evidence of Jones’ lack of involvement with the district.

He also mentioned other left-handed donors who attended the event, Anne Hess and Craig Kaplan, who helped found the North Star Fund, which supports illegal immigrants and opposes heavy-handed enforcement. He said he contributed.

“It should come as no surprise to anyone that pro-open border extremists like ‘Defund the Police’ Mondaire Jones rely on fellow extremists to finance their campaigns. Fellow leftists like Edie Falco, Anne Hess, and Craig Kaplan believe that cops are bad, sanctuary cities are good, and that the rights of violent criminals trump the rights of law-abiding citizens. “We live in a different world,” said Lawlor’s parliamentary spokesperson, Chris Russell.

“That insane message may work in urban areas, but it doesn’t work in the Hudson Valley,” said Lawlor’s rep.

The event is connected to a documentary and debate on abortion rights, which pro-abortion advocate Jones clearly wants to make a key issue in his campaign against pro-abortion Lawler.

Mondaire-Jones’ campaign ignored the criticism, citing lawyers’ opposition to abortion as a major problem.

“Our event tonight will bring together hundreds of passionate pro-choice supporters from across the Lower Hudson Valley who are excited to defeat anti-choice politician Congressman Mike Lawler. “Supporting to overturn Wade v. v. Wade has further jeopardized the IVF process, which is now at risk across America,” said Shannon Guyson, a spokeswoman for the Jones campaign. Ta.

“Residents of New York’s 17th Congressional District are horrified by Mr. Lawler’s voting record, which attacks women’s reproductive freedom, and are voting this fall to prevent Republicans from passing a national abortion ban. I would refuse him.”

Lawler said he personally opposes abortion.

But he also opposes a national ban on abortion.

New York’s 17th District includes all or part of Rockland, Westchester, Putnam, and Dutchess counties.

Jones previously represented Hudson Valley. However, after redistricting in 2022, he ran for the 10th Congressional District, which includes parts of Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, but lost in the Democratic primary to Representative Dan Goldman.

Last year, he announced a bid to take back the old seat won by Lawler.
