partial differential equation report DEI refers to “diversity, equity, and inclusion” activities and focuses on mental health training, educational programs, and recruiting.

The total cost was $1,002,522,304.81. Furthermore, according to PDE, the group stated that this figure is a “conservative estimate” and is likely to be even higher.

“These numbers are based on available data and are not exact. The number of districts and students could be higher. Some districts, such as Miami-Dade County Public Schools, are As it relates to gold, it is only counted once in the count,” PDE noted in its report.

PDE analyzed the distribution of DEI grants as follows:

  • Adopting DEI: $489,883,797.81
  • DEI programming: $343,337,286
  • DEI-based mental health/social emotional learning (SEL): $169,301,221

“Some grants covered two or all of the above categories, but in those cases the grants were counted only against the most major category,” PDE continued in the report. Ta.

“The Philadelphia School District was awarded $3,973,175 for a restorative justice program modeled after the Oakland Unified School District (California), with a program advisor who is a far-left activist and former member of the Communist Party of the United States.”

About one-third of K-12 students nationwide will be behind grade level by the end of the 2023-2024 school year, according to a September report released by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES). It is reported that they are taking.

PDE describes itself as a “national grassroots organization working to take back schools from activists who impose harmful policies.”

“The only individuals and organizations that benefit from these massive subsidies are universities, administrators, and DEI consultants at the expense of children's education,” said PDE researcher Ryen Staley. “We need to change this by putting children's learning at the forefront of education, rather than prioritizing race-based policies and DEI.”

To replace outgoing Education Secretary Miguel Cardona, President-elect Donald Trump has selected Linda McMahon to fill the role.

After school closures backed by the National Teachers Union undone two decades of learning improvements, federal bureaucrats appear to be dragging their feet on reopening schools.

Mr. Cardona also immersed himself in the culture wars, clashing publicly with conservative governors over curriculum regulations and parental rights.

” [Education] According to the U.S. Department of Education, the Secretary is responsible for the overall direction, supervision, and coordination of all activities of the Department and is the principal advisor to the President on federal policies, programs, and activities related to education in the United States.

Overseeing a department of 4,000 federal bureaucrats who distribute funds, process paperwork, collect data and draft regulations are all part of the job. Given the fact that the agency has a history of low morale and has been accused of being too “friendly” with certain unions, it needs Mr. McMahon, an outsider with a track record and success in management. It is clear that The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) argued that:

Business experience and management skills may also be more important than ever in light of the recent FAFSA scandal. The new system, introduced last winter, has caused many challenges for both universities and students, and has even led to students losing financial aid to which they are entitled.

“Congress directed the Department of Education to overhaul the federal student aid system. According to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the goal is to obtain student and parent financial information directly from the IRS and to The aim was to streamline the application process by reducing the number from more than 100 to as few as 18 for some applicants.''

Since then, three consecutive departmental audits have failed, and the need to undo the student loan mess in the wake of Biden's illegal college debt cancellation efforts has led to the Department of Education now being turned into a specialized policy shop. Some people liken it to a megabank with a

Many also argue that departments generally need to be overhauled.

Before deciding on a new professional path, Ms. McMahon first earned a teaching certificate in college and helped develop her family's thriving sports entertainment company. For decades, she served on the board of the Connecticut State Board of Education and Sacred Heart University. Mr. McMahon has also led efforts to establish more conservative education policies as president of the America First Policy Institute, which removes radical far-left ideology from schools and restores decision-making power to parents. She supports training programs and quality educational opportunities that help millions of American students find stable jobs.

“Her goal is to increase education, but you don't want the government to get in the way of education. So based on that framework, that's the way we're going to go,” Ted said in a meeting Tuesday. said Senator Budd (RN.C.).

Budd believes that McMahon's experience managing the Small Business Administration during President Trump's first term makes him well-positioned to navigate the federal agency's bureaucracy, which is currently in poor operation. He is one of the top Republican officials.

Former NBA player-turned-politician Royce White, who is running as a Republican candidate for the Minnesota Senate, also had some comments on DEI last month.

“Democrats have a huge majority in the education system…It’s another place where DEI seems to be pretty selective. In fact, 70% of K-12 teachers in America These are mostly liberal white women who say that reproductive rights shouldn't be a top priority for black children until they can read at grade level. I think…there is nothing more racist in America than to miseducate black people and then tell them to look at celebrities and athletes who have no say in the matter, first of all, in this political system or any other. It’s about how the system actually works.”
