Eerie last message from Australian traveler Sally Grace Contarino before going missing in Vegas

A 26-year-old Australian tourist has been missing for over three weeks after her last message on Facebook indicated she was going for a hike.

Sally Grace Contarino was last heard from on June 20, when she informed a male friend on Facebook about her hiking plans in Lone Mountain, as noted in a report by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Authorities are uncertain whether she was with anyone during her hike. They have expressed concerns about her mental state, indicating she may need medical help.

Contarino was last spotted around 1 p.m. on June 20 near the 9700 block of West Sky Canyon Drive, a busy area in northwest Las Vegas filled with fast-food joints and gas stations.

She had a flight back to Melbourne scheduled for June 21 but failed to board it.

Before going missing, she had confirmed with her sister that she traveled from Melbourne to Nevada on June 13, arriving at the Bungalows Hostel in downtown Las Vegas on June 18.

Investigators have noted that Contarino used the WISE money transfer app and owned an Apple phone.

A troubling video featuring an influencer shows Contarino in her last known moments, interacting with a man just days before her disappearance.

This man approached her while she was outside a 7-Eleven, complimenting her and asking for her number. Contarino smiled and indicated she had a boyfriend, and their conversation continued briefly before he walked away.

This clip has gained over 814,000 views on Instagram, highlighting her final known public interaction before vanishing.

When last seen, Contarino was dressed in a gray-blue sweatshirt, shorts, and black-and-white shoes, and she was carrying a wallet. She is described as having brown hair and brown eyes, standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds.

Australian authorities initiated a search after a missing person report was filed with Victoria Police, which later involved Interpol notifying the U.S. Following this, the Deputy Consul General of the Australian Consulate in Los Angeles reached out to the Las Vegas Metro Police. Contarino’s family, including her sister, has since traveled to Las Vegas to help in the search and to understand what happened.
