Eight Christians Hurt in Molotov Attack During Pro-Israel Prayer Walk

Boulder Incident Investigation

A man from Egypt, identified as Mohamed Sabri Soliman, is under investigation for allegedly planning to bomb and injure individuals attending a pro-Israel rally in Boulder, Colorado.

Authorities have engaged Jason Pack, a retired FBI special agent, to carry out forensic examinations at the location. This involves collecting remnants of the potential explosive device, fingerprints, and reviewing any available surveillance footage. Background checks are being conducted both locally and internationally, including inquiries by Egyptian authorities in coordination with the U.S. embassy in Cairo. They aim to determine Soliman’s history, affiliations, and any signs of radicalization.

Soliman, who is 45 years old, reportedly overstayed his visa. Eyewitness accounts indicate he was armed with Molotov cocktails and a makeshift flamethrower, shouting phrases like “Free Palestine” during the incident. This seems not to have been a random act; instead, it appeared to have personal and perhaps political motivations.

Currently, investigators are assessing if the actions taken by Soliman qualify as domestic terrorism. They are looking into whether his use of explosive devices and flamethrowers was part of an orchestrated attack linked to ideological beliefs.

Victims of the assault, primarily members of a walking club aged between 67 and 88, experienced injuries that varied in severity. One witness described a chaotic scene, highlighting the fear and confusion as people attempted to escape. The attacker was seen holding multiple Molotov cocktails; one victim reportedly caught fire.

Another observer noted a line of flames extending about 20 feet, suggesting the makeshift flamethrower’s impact.

This incident occurred shortly after two staff members at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC were killed—an event related to the ongoing conflict over Palestine.
