An elderly couple was allegedly stabbed to death by their agitated son inside their Brooklyn home on Saturday, police said.
Officers said Jacob Sperber and Rachel Sperber, both 75, were found with multiple stab wounds inside a Borough Park home just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday.
The couple was taken to a local hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
Everyone in the close-knit Hasidic community where the couple lived told Fox 5 New York they were in disbelief.

Neighbors told Fox 5 that the couple's 46-year-old son was behind the assault and that he was upset. Fox 5 reported that his son had barricaded himself inside the home, although police had not confirmed it as of Saturday night.
The suspect was carried away on a stretcher.

“He was mentally ill, but they loved him and thought he was OK,” Shmiel Weiss, who lives nearby, told FOX 5.
