Elderly woman kicked down staircase in Queens subway station

Police are hunting a beast that kicked an elderly woman down the stairs at a Queens subway station.

The 72-year-old was riding the stairs at Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue station at 11:13pm on Saturday when she was kicked from behind and fell down the stairs, the NYPD said.

It was not clear what led to the attack, and the victim was seriously injured. She was taken to Health and Hospital in New York/Elmhurst for treatment.

The NYPD shared surveillance images of the suspect late Sunday. The suspect is believed to have escaped on a northbound train F.

No arrests had been made as of Monday.
