Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Sunday on CNN's “Fareed Zakaria GPS” that the November election will be a battle between a “dark, dystopian” former President Donald Trump and the joyous Vice President Kamala Harris.
“When President Biden withdrew and I endorsed her for vice president, my husband and I immediately endorsed her and it felt right, exciting and exhilarating. Not only is she perfectly prepared to be president, I think we need someone like her now more than ever,” Clinton said.
She added: “This is not just an election of two people, two candidates, two parties. It's not an election of democracy versus tyranny, freedom versus oppression. It's also an election of leaders who want to unite us to achieve great things, who want to show America is ready to lead in the world and abroad where the world needs it. So the contrast between these two visions of our future couldn't be starker and more different. Kamala's campaign, as has been written and spoken about, shows a level of energy, a level of joy, and the contrast is Trump's campaign, which is dark, dystopian. Full of blame and scapegoating, full of attacks on different people. It's a very different view of who we are as a people and what we should aspire to.”
