Elon Musk Praises New Tesla Diner in Los Angeles
Elon Musk has expressed his enthusiasm for the Tesla Diner and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations being developed in Los Angeles.
On X early Monday, he shared, “I just had dinner at Retro Futti Stick @tesla Diner and Supercharger.” He added, “The team did an incredible job; this will become one of the coolest spots in LA!”
Located on Santa Monica Boulevard, the Tesla Diner is not yet open to the public. Musk’s posts about this diner have generated quite a buzz and excitement on social media.
This diner isn’t a new idea; Musk has spoken about it since 2018, mentioning plans for a nostalgic drive-in concept featuring roller skating and rock music at one of the Tesla Supercharger locations in LA.
When it opens, visitors can look forward to EV charging stations along with outdoor movie screens. The futuristic two-story building features an elevated outdoor area, as shown in images taken earlier this month.
Reports indicate that construction for this project kicked off in the fall of 2023. By late April, Tesla announced they had over 7,100 supercharger stations globally, equipped with more than 67,300 supercharger connectors.
Musk has led Tesla since 2008, and the company is expected to announce its second-quarter financial results soon.
