Elon Musk Comes Off Sidelines, Taps Vast Fortune to Elect Trump

Tesla CEO and X/Twitter owner Elon Musk has reportedly donated to a pro-Trump super PAC to help former President Donald Trump’s reelection.

An anonymous source familiar with the matter said: Bloomberg It claimed Musk had donated “substantial amounts” to the USA PAC.

The super PAC is reportedly “the biggest spender on direct voter contact,” having spent roughly “$15.8 million” so far, according to the outlet.

According to the media, America PAC is described as an organization that “mainly operates behind the scenes to strengthen the Trump campaign’s ground war.”

The media outlet noted that Musk’s donation would deal a “devastating blow” to President Joe Biden and the Democratic Party.

Musk’s efforts could deal a devastating blow to Biden and the Democratic Party, which is already locked in an intraparty fight over the president’s political future.

News of Musk’s donation comes as he has become increasingly critical of Biden and the policies of his administration. Revealed Trump called him “out of the blue and for no apparent reason.”

In a May 2023 interview with CNBC, Musk said the suppression of reports about Hunter Biden’s laptop was “election interference.”

Musk and Trump have not seen eye to eye in the past, with Musk blasting Trump’s Truth Social platform as a “right-wing echo chamber” in October 2022, only to restore Trump’s account to X (formerly Twitter) a month later.

Musk has previously said that if Trump were handcuffed and arrested, he would be re-elected in a “landslide victory.” After Trump was convicted in May of 34 counts of first-degree falsifying business records in connection with payments to adult entertainment star Stormy Daniels, Musk said the sentence meant “when a former president is convicted of something so trivial, everyone is at risk.”

The media noted that “several of President Trump’s proposed policies” would affect Tesla.

President Trump has criticized Biden’s electric vehicle (EV) restrictions, saying they would “destroy” Michigan’s economy and vowing to end the EV mandate.

During the June 27 debate between President Trump and President Biden, Musk described both candidates as “talking puppets.”
