Musk's unexpected appearance at the first official meeting between President-elect Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy may be a sign of his influence in the incoming Trump administration.

“I had a great phone response. “Mr. Zelensky met with President Trump and congratulated him on his historic landslide victory – his incredible campaign made this result possible,” Zelensky posted on X.

Details of Musk's exact role were not disclosed, Axios reported, but sources said he would continue to support Ukraine through the Starlink satellite network, a vital service for Ukraine's wartime communications. He has expressed his intention.

During his campaign, President Trump expressed skepticism about continued U.S. aid to Ukraine and emphasized an early resolution to the conflict with Russia, which had caused concern across Europe.

Zelenskiy interpreted both the timing of the call and Trump's reassurances as good signs, the people said. Mr. Trump and his advisers have privately conveyed more supportive messages about Ukraine than his campaign has suggested.

The call will be the first of many between Trump's team and Zelenskiy's advisers as the two countries seek U.S. involvement in the ongoing conflict. It is expected.
