Tesla’s New Diner Buzzes with Excitement

In Los Angeles, Elon Musk has been enthusiastic about the development of Tesla’s diners and electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. Early Monday morning, he tweeted, “I just had dinner at the retro-futurist @tesla diner and a supercharger.” He added that the team has done a fantastic job creating one of the coolest spots in the city.
The Tesla Diner, which isn’t open to the public just yet, is situated on Santa Monica Boulevard. Musk’s tweets have generated considerable interest on social media.
The diner has been on the drawing board for a while. In fact, Musk mentioned back in 2018 plans for what he called an “old school drive-in” combined with a Roller Skate & Rock restaurant at one of the new Tesla Supercharger locations.
People can look forward to charging stations for EVs and even outdoor movie screens, alongside the dining experience.
Musk has also noted that Tesla vehicles equipped with Grok AI chatbots will start rolling out next week. The diner itself is two stories high, complete with an elevated outdoor area, a fact evidenced by photos from earlier this month.
Construction for this ambitious project began in the fall of 2023. In late April, Tesla announced it had over 7,100 supercharger stations globally, boasting more than 67,300 supercharger connectors. Musk has been at the helm of Tesla since 2008, and the company is set to release its second-quarter financial results soon.
