Connor Smith Involved in Pedestrian Accident in Nashville
Emerging country music artist Connor Smith reportedly struck a pedestrian in Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday.
According to a press release issued on Monday, Smith was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck on 3rd Avenue when the incident occurred.
Authorities stated that the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when she was hit around 7:30 PM. The individual, identified as Dobbins and a local resident, was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she later died.
Police indicated that Smith, who is 24 years old, seemed to have failed to yield at the pedestrian crossing. They noted, “He didn’t give up his right to the pedestrian path.”
Officials mentioned that Smith “showed no signs of impairment,” and currently, there are no charges as the investigation is still ongoing.
A lawyer for Smith expressed condolences to Dobbins’ family, stating that Smith’s “heart goes out to them during this incredibly challenging time.”
The attorney also added that Smith is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

In his latest Instagram post, which included a caption about his hometown, Smith shared photos from his CMA Fest performance, but he has not yet made any statement regarding the accident on social media.
