Enes Kanter Freedom Critiques A’Ja Wilson’s Actions
Former NBA player Enes Kanter Freedom is continuing his involvement in WNBA discussions.
This time, he publicly criticized A’Ja Wilson, presenting evidence to back his claims. He used social media to highlight a breach of WNBA rules, which occurred when Wilson confronted a fan at a recent game.
Kanter didn’t hold back—he labeled Wilson a “drama queen” and insisted she should face immediate suspension. In his post, he pointed out that Wilson stepped off the court and into the baseline seats to confront a fan, violating the WNBA’s Rule 12A, which mandates automatic ejection for players who enter the stands.
He further revealed that the Indiana Fever had looked into the fan’s behavior and concluded he did not breach their Fan Code of Conduct. Kanter, in a somewhat emphatic tone, addressed Wilson directly, reminding her of her high-profile role in the league and suggesting that emotional control is essential.
After the contest, Wilson shared her perspective on the incident, expressing her discomfort with the fan’s actions. She conveyed her frustration about feeling threatened when a man pointed at her, emphasizing that such behavior is completely unacceptable. She seemed particularly upset after a physical exchange during the game with Fever player Sophie Cunningham, which led to her receiving a technical foul.
Cunningham soon joined the conversation, throwing some shade Wilson’s way, further intensifying the situation. With the Fever and Aces set to meet again for a critical Game 3 on Thursday, it seems like emotions are running high as the first-round playoff series continues.
