Convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein asserted that former President Trump frequently visited his Palm Beach mansion, but he maintained that Trump never engaged in any illegal actions or received massages there.
“Trump was aware of what was happening and visited my home numerous times back then,” Epstein noted in an email to himself on February 1, 2019, just months before his arrest related to sex trafficking and subsequent suicide in prison. He added, “He’s never had a massage.”
This email was initially reported by The Washington Post, along with nearly 20,000 pages of records released by the House Oversight Committee. It’s still unclear exactly what context “that” refers to in his statement.
In another message to author Michael Wolff from 2019, Epstein referred to Ghislaine Maxwell, a close associate of Trump, claiming he “of course knew about the girls because he asked Ghislaine to stop.” The extent of Trump’s knowledge regarding Epstein’s crimes remains ambiguous.
Trump described his relationship with Epstein as purely social, indicating they had a falling out in the mid-2000s and mentioning that Epstein had employed staff from his Mar-a-Lago club.
In a July 2019 press interaction, when questioned if he had ever suspected Epstein of abusing underage girls, Trump stated, “I had no idea.” This suggests that if there were any red flags, they might have escaped his notice.
Documents released in January indicated that Trump often dined at Epstein’s mansion years ago. In contrast, Prince Andrew allegedly received massages “every day” during his visits.
According to Epstein’s former butler, Trump never stayed overnight at the mansion and did not receive massages from any of Epstein’s associates. The butler did mention that Trump would occasionally come over for dinner but always ate separately in the kitchen, stating, “He would never sit at the table.”
Trump’s representative remarked that the former president has his own spa services. Meanwhile, Trump criticized Democrats for allegedly trying to deflect attention from government issues by revisiting the Epstein controversy.
He added, “There should be no compromise towards Mr. Epstein or anyone else, and Republicans should concentrate on reopening the country and addressing the significant damage caused by the Democrats!”
