New Epstein Documents Released
On Friday, the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee made public a third set of documents connected to the late Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted sex offender. These new documents reportedly link investors to influential figures such as Peter Thiel, Steve Bannon, and Elon Musk.
Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, is also mentioned in these files.
“It’s apparent that Jeffrey Epstein had connections with some of the world’s most powerful and wealthy individuals. We aim to provide new insights that contribute to justice for the survivors and victims,” a statement from the committee noted.
One member remarked, “The Surveillance Democrats are determined to uncover all those associated with Epstein’s terrible crimes. It’s time for Attorney General Bondi to release all available files immediately.”
The newly disclosed files indicate that a prominent billionaire was scheduled to visit Epstein’s private island in December 2014. Meetings involving Bannon and Thiel reportedly took place in 2019 and 2017, respectively.
Additionally, Andrew’s name appeared in flight manifests from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey to West Palm Beach, Florida, alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell on May 12, 2000.
The latest release not only covers Epstein’s phone messages but also includes ledgers, daily schedules from 2010 to 2019, and flight logs.
However, House Republicans expressed concerns about the lack of advance notice regarding the document release. “They are intentionally withholding documents that might involve Democratic officials, and what’s shared today is simply old news,” a Republican spokesperson stated.
The spokesperson also added, “We are committed to bringing transparency for survivors and will ensure the full document is made available.”
The matter of the Epstein files remains a sensitive topic, especially for the Trump administration. Critics have highlighted that the president’s past commitments to support document releases concerning Epstein’s dealings have not been fully realized. Still, following a recent Democrat victory in Arizona’s special election, the House is reportedly closer to amassing enough support to compel the Justice Department to release additional federal documents related to Epstein.
Throughout this period, Trump has consistently denied any close ties with Epstein, characterizing related inquiries as a “witch hunt.”
