Eric Trump: My father will go down as one of the most ‘remarkable candidates’ in history

Eric Trump, one of President-elect Trump's adult sons, said Wednesday that his father will go down as one of the most “remarkable candidates” in history.

He joined Fox News' Laura Ingraham to celebrate his father's election victory 24 hours after voting began to close across the country.

“I think the media and this whole process have lost all credibility. My father will go down as one of the truly remarkable candidates in the history of this country and for political leadership. I think so,” Eric Trump said.

He added that he was “very proud” of his father.

The Hill and Decision Desk headquarters announced early Wednesday morning that the presidential election had been decided in favor of Trump. He advanced to a second term after securing the key battleground states of Georgia, North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Results are still being tallied in Arizona.

Eric Trump claimed he was glad voters chose his father because he knew he “didn't have to” campaign for a third time.

“He might be enjoying life at Mar-a-Lago, he might be enjoying life with his grandchildren. He might be playing on the best golf course in the world. “Maybe I'm just enjoying life,” he said.
