Eric Trump Plans to Sue MS NOW and Jen Psaki for 'Clear Falsehoods' About His Business Activities on China Trip

Eric Trump Sues Over Media Claims Linked to Father’s China Trip

Critics from the left have frequently accused the Trump family of capitalizing on Donald Trump’s presidency. In light of this ongoing scrutiny, Eric Trump has opted to file a lawsuit aimed at shutting down these allegations after his father’s notable visit to China.

On Friday, President Trump announced plans to take legal action against MSNOW (previously known as MSNBC) and host Jen Psaki, who implied that Eric’s trip with his father might represent a conflict of interest regarding a potential deal involving computer chips.

During her segment “The Briefing,” Psaki noted that a Las Vegas fintech firm, ALT5Sigma—where Eric Trump has previously held a position as board observer—was exploring opportunities with Chinese chip manufacturers for developing AI data centers that might have connections to the Chinese government. She referenced a report that surfaced in the Financial Times.

Eric Trump responded firmly to her claims and declared his intention to pursue legal action.

On social media platform X, he articulated, “I plan to sue @jrpsaki and @MSNOWNews over the clip below. I want to be clear: Contrary to her monologues and outright lies, I have never been a board member of ALT5. Not now, and never will be.”

He went on to point out, “Anyone who has basic access to Google and is willing to open a company’s annual report or proxy statement would know this.”

In his post, he emphasized, “I am not involved in any merger discussions involving public entities that I do not operate or control,” asserting, “I have no business interests in China. No real estate, no investments, nothing!”

Regarding his reason for traveling, Trump explained, “I took this trip for one reason: as a loving son who adores his father and doesn’t want to miss out on this great moment by his side. During our bilateral meeting, @LaraLeaTrump and I went to the Great Wall of China.”

Eric Trump and Lara Trump were spotted disembarking from Air Force One earlier that week, alongside several business leaders.

This group included notable figures such as Elon Musk, Tim Cook, Larry Fink, Kelly Ortberg, Jane Fraser, Jensen Huang, and David Solomon.

Over the years, the Trump family’s business dealings have faced intense scrutiny during the president’s two terms, with critics alleging that he leveraged his position for personal gain. However, such criticism seems minor compared to the controversies surrounding former President Joe Biden’s family.

Hunter Biden has traveled with President Joe Biden on multiple international trips and has reportedly reaped financial benefits from the connections made during these visits.

During Biden’s presidency, the family’s financial gains were highlighted in a 2022 House Oversight Committee investigation, which found that Hunter often received critiques from Donald Trump while campaigning for the upcoming 2024 election.
