Three escaped convicts have been charged with murdering two Americans after reportedly hijacking a couple’s yacht in the Caribbean last month. The bodies of Kathy Blundell and Ralph Hendry have not yet been found, and authorities believe the fugitives threw them overboard.
Ron Mitchell, 30 years old. Trevon Robertson, 19 years old. and Abita Stanislaus, 25. Each was charged with two counts of capital murder in connection with the couple’s presumed deaths.according to statement The suspects have also been charged with fleeing the Royal Grenada Police Force, burglary, robbery and two counts of kidnapping.
The prisoners had been charged several months earlier with one count of robbery with assault. According to Grenada Police, Mitchell was also charged with one count of rape, three counts of attempted rape, and two counts of indecent assault and assault.
The three suspects escaped from a cell in Grenada on February 18th, and the fugitives were recaptured on February 21st on St. Vincent Island.
Hendry and Blundell had their yacht moored in St. George’s, Grenada’s capital, and when authorities located the yacht in nearby St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Blundell and Hendry were nowhere to be seen. Family members said they had not heard from the couple since February 18. according to In People magazine.

“The entire interior and deck of the ship was ransacked,” the Coast Guard commander reportedly wrote in an internal memo.

Law enforcement believes the fugitives commandeered the yacht the day after their escape.
According to the yacht club, the couple’s boat was found abandoned on February 21, and the couple were reported missing.
