The European Union (EU) stated that if President Trump signed a tariff that could affect member countries, he would “respond firmly.”
The union's spokesman said that the 27 groups did not recognize additional tariffs on the EU products, but the use of tariffs would “hurt in all aspects.” Bloomberg reported。
“The EU will respond firmly to a trading partner who imposes tariffs in an unreasonable or Arbitrarily,” said a spokeswoman. “It's dangerous.”
This statement comes a few days after Trump signed a presidential order that imposed a considerable tariff on Canada, Mexico and China. 25 % tariffs affect products from Mexico and Canada, and 10 % of tariffs affect Chinese products.
The tariff is set to be enabled on Tuesday. Trump is “worth the price” to justify the impact of Americans by claiming pain caused by economic radioactive drops.
In December, Trump threatened to issue tariffs on the EU unless you buy a large amount of US oil and gas to make up for the increase in US deficits.
Despite the threat of Trump, the EU will not be able to use a large amount of American petroleum and gas, unless the United States increases production.
The tension between the EU and the United States has already been enhanced because the President said he wanted to acquire Greenland owned by Denmark. Denmark officials argued that it was not a sale, and Denmark's Prime Minister Methte Frederixen called on the issue with Trump.
