Steve Cooper appointed Leicester manager
In other Euro news…Steve Cooper is appointed as Leicester’s new manager.
Pioneers of black British football have called on organisers of the next Men’s European Championship, to be held in Britain in 2028, to be an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of black footballers to the game.
According to Bukayo Saka, England have the ability to win the title because of their wealth of attacking talent.
England opened the tournament with a 1-0 win over Serbia, but there is still plenty to be done from their most dangerous players.
“With that, everything is possible,” he told ITV Sport when asked what England could do with Saka, Bellingham, Phil Foden and Harry Kane playing together.
“He (Bellingham) has always been very mature, even from the age of 17, and has always known how to behave on and off the pitch. I was a bit surprised because what he’s done this season has been special. To go to Real Madrid at 20 and achieve what he’s done is incredible, but knowing the person he is, it’s not surprising.”
Asked to describe Bellingham in one word, Saka said, “Amazing!”

If you’re looking for some solid advice on how to stay out of trouble in Frankfurt, Paul McInnes has the answer.
As Frankfurt prepares to host the Euros 2020 match between England and Denmark, stern advice has been given to supporters: “Don’t jump into the River Main”.
The idea of throwing oneself into a tributary of the Rhine is probably not the first thought that crosses many minds given the gloomy weather that has characterised the tournament in Germany, but fans did just that in 2006, when England last played in the city, and officials are doing all they can to ensure this one goes off without incident.
So far, there has not been enough criticism of officials.

Of course, we can sit here all day and debate whether Gareth Southgate will make any changes but we all know he won’t make any. Luckily, we are all smarter than the average English football manager. What changes would you make? I think Luke Shaw, if fit, would make a difference, but apart from that, the most important thing is to give Phil Foden time to settle into the role and give him the best chance of making a difference in the knockout rounds.

England are behind! Will England pull off a win after their boring win over Serbia? Will Gareth Southgate make any changes? Will every pass be directed to Jude Bellingham? There are so many unanswered questions and literally hours until kick-off against Denmark.
We look ahead to Denmark vs England and take a look back at what happened in yesterday’s matches. Scotland got a boost from drawing with Switzerland, Albania and Croatia played some great matches and Germany showed what they’re made of with a win over a much improved Hungary.
The somewhat tough match between Slovenia and Serbia gets underway at 2pm BST, before England and Denmark take to the field. The most exciting match on Thursday (and the tournament so far) is tonight’s match between Italy and Spain. Spain comfortably beat Croatia in their opening match, while Italy beat Albania, so it will be interesting to see how this one goes.
