During the tense exchange, Trump and Vance said Zelensky was not grateful for the support the US provided to war-torn countries and did not have the leverage necessary to guide a peace deal with Russia.

Zelensky has pushed his claims on the Vice President that his contract with Putin could be trained to end the war in Eastern Europe, which has been raging for over three years. The Ukrainian president subsequently hinted that Putin refused to trade prisoners and refusing to support his previous ceasefire deal and continued attacks on a war-torn country.

Vance said that Zelensky's visit to the White House was “disrespectful” for him to “try to sue this in front of the American media.”

“Right now, you're forcing drafting to the forefront because of talent issues. We should be grateful that the President has tried to end his conflict,” the Vice President said.

Zelensky said that America's proximity to conflict did not feel that it had any direct meaning, but wartime leaders warned that they could quickly change it.

“You're not in a position so don't tell us what we're feeling… to direct what we're trying to feel,” Trump told Zelensky on Friday. “We feel very good and it makes us feel very strong. You're not in a very good position right now.”

The president added that Kyiv does not have a “now card.” With us, you start holding cards. ”

He warned Zelensky, “You're gambling with millions of people, you're gambling with World War II…and what you're doing is very rude to this country, a country that supports far more than many people said they should.”

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tass said to Zelensky and the Ukrainian people. They are “not alone.”

Moldova President Maia Sandou wrote on Friday that the truth is “simple.”

“Russia has invaded Ukraine. Russia is an invader. Ukraine defends its freedom and defends ours,” she said. “We are standing with Ukraine.”

Some European leaders stood beside Trump.

She added that after Friday's meeting, “it has become clear that the free world needs a new leader.” It's up to the Europeans to take this challenge. ”

Trump has called off negotiations on a peace deal with Zelensky, and the Ukrainian leader has argued that “when America is involved, we are not ready for peace because we feel that our involvement will give him a great advantage in negotiations.”

Zelensky thanked Trump after their meeting, reiterating that Ukraine “needs just and lasting peace, and we are working precisely for that.”
