But “online” is an important modifier in this sentence, as Davis' most cruel post-win slur may have been directed at his wife, Maren Davis. AD made it clear in his post-match comments that even being a professional athlete doesn't mean you'll never get cooked by your partner.

You have to feel AD's feelings here. Not only did he nearly suffocate another close game and further question his ability to make free throws late in the game, he also received a phone call from the person he loves most in the world… about Rui Hachimura. Did you know your heritage was saved?
I mean, it's true, but Fuck, It's still brutal. I don't want to hear what she would say if it were Louis. didn't I got that information. For the sake of the mental health of Lakers fans (and advertising agencies), let's hope we never have to find out.
