Every athlete’s look at Met Gala 2024, graded by someone who knows nothing about fashion

The Met Gala takes place on Monday night and is a chance for everyone around the world to see wild, cutting-edge fashion and act like they know what high fashion is about. With dresses costing more than cars and the only venue appropriate for men to wear capes, galas create a symphony of outfits you’d never wear anywhere but on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

This is a huge celebrity event, and naturally, athletes will also be walking the carpet on Monday night. I compiled a ton of photos of all the 300+ celebrities in attendance to find all the athletes who were there. I appreciate their looks even though most of my clothes are Old Navy and I bought my coat out of season. Like Keon Coleman.

I think this expression means that he is a lumberjack with a dark past. The plaid pattern is reminiscent of “The Canadian Lumberjack,” but everything else is “Bond villain.” We can only assume that this briefcase contains a list of NBA enemies that Simmons plans to exact revenge on once he conquers the world.

This is one of the “appropriate outfits for the job you want to do.”In this case, Simmons would like to be the Count in live-action Sesame street movie.

Overall, this is a bold, Met-worthy look, but it’s marred by ill-fitting sunglasses and an orange watch that distracts from the look.

This is fine. it’s okay. I think that it is all right.

I’m half trying to convince myself that this is okay. What OBJ did here was take a half step. The guy wanted to get a little loud, but he didn’t want to go “full Met Gala.” Understood. However, I think this was a bit lazy. Not true to his fashion style, it takes a bit of effort and lil’ feel like he just borrowed this from Nas X.

When it comes to the Met Gala, my feeling is that you can go all out and go wild, or you can wear something clean and avoid the high fashion part altogether. This was beside the point for me.

you know what? This will definitely calm you down. We don’t think this is entirely different from what Dwyane Wade would wear on a normal night out, and that’s okay. You don’t have to always go big because of the pressure of the Met Gala. He said he got some fun little jewelry, painted his nails, and more or less ended the night with that look.

I think it’s definitely effective.

Oh, that’s right! Lewis Hamilton dresses like I want to be. He is a chef who works as a crime-fighting vigilante.

This has some of the same features as Simmons’ look (mostly the cape), but then I came across a video of him explaining how he decided on his outfit for the night, which led to my reaction to this one. Ratings were pushed into the stratosphere.

This is the only rule. Everything about it is a rule. I love it. I’m into it. Angel Her Wreath is a little whimsical, a little playful, and a little more fashionable than you’ll find anywhere else, but it’s perfect for this event.

There were plenty of long, flowy dresses at the gala, but Reese went in a different direction and totally nailed it.
