It's been two weeks since CBS was accused of editing Kamala Harris' interview with “60 Minutes” Bill Whitaker, specifically the answers (or rather word salad) she gave regarding Israel.
“I had a question,” he says. glenn beck. “Why is one answer in the promo different from the answer aired on the special the next night?”
Well, CBS has finally answered that question, but unfortunately the statement lacks all the humility one would expect from a scandal of this magnitude.
First, the news platform denied President Donald Trump's accusation that it had made “deceptive edits.”
“That is false,” the statement claimed.
Glenn then reads an explanation justifying the edit. “60 Minutes published excerpts of our interview on Face the Nation, and some of her answers were longer than those on 60 Minutes.” Same. I have a question. Same answer. However, there were different parts of the reaction. ”
“Her part of the answer on “60 Minutes'' was more concise, allowing her time to cover other subjects over a broader 21-minute span.”
Already, this statement is not off to a great start. But then things got even worse when the topic turned to — surprise, surprise — Donald Trump.
“But remember that Mr. Trump canceled his 60 Minutes interview, and the vice president also participated.”
“Why was the last line necessary?” Glenn asks. “It shows they have intentions.”
“There's literally something there that they're trying to hide,” he added. Stu Bruguierethe full interview is still Not released.
Glenn says the public needs to take action against CBS's deception.
“Find your local CBS television station,” “write an email or mail” to the “general manager,” and “Why don't you request that CBS News provide information to local viewers about what appears to be an election?” Please ask. “Interference,” he instructed, adding, “All such complaints must be filed with the FCC.”
“This is how you revoke your license.”
